PRoJeCTS
For some years Suzi has worked intuitively allowing her creativity to gather into projects, some one off, some seasonal, others she has re-visited over several years. The final form of these bodies of works is guided by the themes and the concepts they contain. More recently, Suzi has participated in projects created by others, many of them global projects in collaboration with artists she’s met online. More of Suzi’s projects can be found on her previous blog Vignettes de la vie.
tiny sketchbook
In the Australian summer of 2018/19, Suzi participated in The Brooklyn Art’s Library’s Tiny Sketchbook project. By limiting materials and concentrating on colour, she captured impressions of summer, glimpses seen, sketched on location or fragments remembered, partly as memoir, partly as emotional exercise.
Tiny doesn't mean small, or insignificant and this sweet little sketchbook is a joyful expression of those days. In the Northern hemisphere summer of 2019, Suzi’s Tiny Sketchbook, along with the others, will go on tour to NYC, London and Paris.
100 Day Project
From April - July 2018, Suzi participated in #the100dayproject, a global challenge to doing something creative for 100 days.
Suzi challenged herself to create 100 small drawings capturing daily life with a few special conditions ...
Currently Suzi is creating digital prints and cards from this series which will be available in her SHOP.
You can subscribe to her Newsletter to be the first to hear when they are available.
Coffeeosophy
Existing somewhere between image and thought #coffeeosophy sprang out of Suzi's coffee cup whilst sketching in early 2014.
In 2015, she began using some of these images in her printmaking, playing with a variety of graphic layering and chine-colle effects to create a series of handmade prints. She is also collaborating to have T-Shirts printed with these designs, some of which are now available on her SHOP

1000 words for Summer
Started in the Summer of 2009/10, this project captures the essence of Summer where Suzi lives through a variety of creative expressions. Using words sent by others, she began creating artworks in a variety of mediums including sketching, painting, film, photography, textiles, public art and social media. For six Summers, as the crowds returned, she allowed the project to evolve.
In Oct/Nov 2015 prints from Suzi's Summer Sketchbook were part of Manly Gallery's SALTWATER Exhibition and some are now available in Suzi's SHOP.

Winter Dreaming
When winter comes, days get cooler and nights get longer and Suzi's work shifts to the internal world both in practice and in subject matter. On fine sunny days, you'll still find her sketching outdoors on a secret beach or indoors cafe sketching, but the focus of her seasonal practice is to explore the inner dreamings, imagined scenes and doodlings of the watery world, a life lived by the sea.
In 2015 she completed a Winter Sketchbook, some pages of are in her Winter Blog Series and others can be found on her Instagram account.
and entered etching of her doodles into the Warringah Printmakers Annual Exhibition
spring birds +blooms
In early spring the wildflowers around where Suzi lives come into bloom. It's hard to ignore and she has come to enjoy this time of bushwalking and flower stalking, sketching and doodling the wildflowers.
Later in spring, the exotic flowers blossom bringing fond memories of a childhood spent playing in the English countryside. Whilst she continues to sketch, doodle and paint flowers she also loves to listen to the birds in spring spent some time filming and write stories about them.
More recently these sketches have been incorporated into Suzi's intuitive paintings, greeting cards, her ceramic sculptures and ceramic birds. To see what’s currently available, visit Suzi’s SHOP.
